WARREN BUFFETT ANNOUNCES LEADERSHIP CHANGES AT JUSTIN BRANDS, INC

Justin Brands, Inc. – a Berkshire Hathaway subsidiary since 2000 – today announced president and CEO Randy Watson has been named CEO and chairman of Justin Brands. Watson has been with Justin Brands since 1993 and has more than 31 years of experience in the western boot business.

“Randy Watson is a prototype Berkshire manager,” said Warren Buffett, chairman of Berkshire Hathaway. “He loves his company, his products and his associates. He also instinctively thinks like an owner and delivers on his promises. I wish he could stay CEO of Justin forever.”

In conjunction with his promotion to CEO and chairman, Randy Watson has appointed former senior vice president of sales and marketing, Jamie Morgan, as his successor in the role of president of Justin Brands. A cowboy boot expert, Morgan joined Justin Brands in 1997 and has overseen sales and marketing management, product development, customer service, directed key strategic initiatives, and worked closely with retailers and major vendors.

In addition to his role as CFO and senior vice president of finance, Herb Beckwith, will also take on a heightened role as the new senior vice president of international operations for Justin Brands. Beckwith will focus on expanding the brands’ presence further into global markets.
