TOM HOEFERT PROMOTED TO VICE PRESIDENT FOR JUSTIN BRANDS

Justin Brands announced July 15 the promotion of its controller, Tom Hoefert, to vice president of finance. A certified public accountant with 17 years of experience in finance management, Hoefert holds two graduate degrees from the University of North Texas: a master's in accounting and a master's in business administration with a concentration in finance. Prior to his graduate education, Hoefert earned a bachelor's degree in engineering from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and served in the U.S. Army for five years.

"I'm excited to announce Tom’s promotion," said company CEO Randy Watson. "Tom has quickly proven himself to be a valuable member of the Justin Brands team and with his strong background in financial leadership, the promotion to an officer position within the company is fitting."

Prior to joining Justin Brands in 2006, Hoefert served as chief financial officer for a number of companies including Recognition International, a document recognition and imaging software firm; InnoServe Technologies Inc., an asset management service for hospitals; and LayerOne Holdings Inc., a private telecommunications firm. Earlier in his career he worked as a financial analyst and manufacturing engineer with Texas Instruments.
