KWEA’S SPRING ATLANTA MARKET A SUCCESS
Western & English Atlanta had one of the most exciting shows to date Feb. 28 and March 1-2, 2009. The sixth show brought a March snowstorm, an emerging Country music band and more than 450 lines to the North Atlanta Trade Center. Buyers arrived from the Netherlands, Ohio, California, Oklahoma, and Missouri and throughout the Southeast.
The show kicked off to an electrifying start when Panhandle Slim brought the Randy Rogers Band to town for the Saturday evening event. Vendors and retailers alike enjoyed the Red Dirt music along with the traditional Mexican buffet. Saturday was WEA’s largest attended day on record and some of these retailers made last-minute plans to stay through Sunday as well. The snowstorm raged on Sunday, but many retailers still shopped in between snowball fights with their kids.
WEA has begun taking applications for the fall of 2009 show that will be held Sept. 26-28, 2009, once again at the North Atlanta Trade Center. WEA continues to boasts easy access and free parking as well as reasonably priced and convenient accommodations.
